One active Cara installation is linked to each school’s EMIS number. Access ends automatically when the free trial or paid period ends.

Installation guide

Download Cara only from the official iForm365 website. Installation requires administrator permission. On a school-managed PC, ask your IT administrator to approve and install Cara.

If Microsoft Edge displays “Cara.exe isn’t commonly downloaded. Make sure you trust Cara.exe before you open it”, confirm that the file came from our official website and check its publisher’s digital signature before proceeding. If you are unsure, contact iForm365 support.

For this unfamiliar-download warning only, and where your organisation permits installation:

  1. In the browser’s downloads menu, click the three dots (…) beside Cara.exe.
  2. Select Keep.
  3. If the warning panel shows Show more or a downward arrow, click it to expand the available options.
  4. Select Keep anyway, if available. Browser wording and layout may vary.
  5. Select Open file to start the Cara installer.
  6. Follow the installation prompts. If Windows asks for administrator approval, obtain approval from the PC administrator.
  7. Select Finish when installation is complete.
  8. Open Cara using the desktop shortcut and complete the registration form when it appears.

If installation is blocked: contact your PC or school IT administrator. Do not disable antivirus, bypass organisational restrictions, or proceed past a malware warning.

Download Cara, the class attendance app for schools. New schools receive one 30-day free trial, with no banking details required.

School approval required: Before registering Cara, your school must apply on its official letterhead, signed by the principal or an authorised official. The application must include the school name, EMIS number and district. Registration cannot be completed until the school has been approved. This security measure prevents unauthorised registration using a school’s official identity.
